　　2013年8月28日，国务院总理李克强日前主持召开国务院常务会议，研究部署促进健康服务业发展。会议指出，随着生活水平提高，广大群众对健康服务的需求持续增长，要加快发展健康养老服务。专家认为，我国已进入人口老龄化快速发展阶段，着力推动养老服务业发展不仅是积极应对人口老龄化、保障和改善民生的重要举措，也将成为扩大内需、增加就业、推动经济转型升级的重要支点。

　　我国自2000年已进入老龄化社会，以65岁及以上占总人口比例的数据为参考，此指标从2002年的7.3%上涨至2012年的9.4%。2012年我国65岁以上的老年人口已达到1.27亿人，且每年仍以800万人的速度增加。有关专家预计，到2050年，我国老龄人口将达到总人口数的三分之一。从总体上看，我国养老服务业还处于发展初期。养老服务和产品供给不足的问题十分突出。目前，老年人需求迫切的生活照料、长期护理、精神慰藉、文化娱乐等服务领域发展都比较缓慢。
